Philip Harris is a highly experienced practitioner and academic in the study and practice of photography with 19 years of working in photographic education from entry to post-graduate levels, covering all aspects of programme design and delivery.
Harris has the ability to teach across a very wide range of skills, including technical, theoretical and critical aspect of photographic education and is currently programme leader of the BA (Hons) Photography at the University of Derby. Areas of research include philosophies of making, the representation of landscape, politics and identity.
Harris received his Ph.D Philosophical Aesthetics and Fine Art from Birmingham City University and has advanced image production skills across analogue and digital media.
