FORMAT is excited to announce our upcoming programme of PhotoForum talks.

Taking place throughout August and then every last Tuesday of the month, we will be in conversation with some of the most exciting industry professionals who will be sharing their work, insights and stories.

This programme of events will kick off with our three Here There & Everywhere artists, Anthony Bila, Sipho Gongxeka and Uzoma Orji who will discuss their varied practices, their journey into art, and their exhibitions currently on display at QUAD in Derby and virtual FORMAT21.

From September to January we will continue to inspire you with talks from international photographers and industry leaders, including Simon Norfolk, Emma Bowkett, Max Ferguson and McDonaldStrand, interspersed with creative networking events. Inspired by our popular Portfolio Review we are also running creative networking events; meet photographers and artists from around the world and share with us the work that inspires you.

In October share with us a photobook that you love, tell us why, and hear from others about photo books that have been instrumental to their practice. In December we ask you to join us for ‘The photograph you Wish you had Taken’ to hear from industry leaders about the photo they wish was theirs, and we want to hear the same from you.

Join in or be part of the audience! Keep your eyes peeled in the coming days and weeks for announcements on bookings for each event.Each talk will be taking place on zoom and all bookings will be via Eventbrite. Tickets are charged at a donation cost chosen by the ticket holder.
