Anton Roland Laub

Born and brought up in Bucharest, Anton Roland Laub lives and works in Berlin. He received an MA degree from the Weißensee Art Academy having previously completed studies at the New School for Photography in Berlin, and the media and communication science department at the University of Bucharest.
Bucharest’s recent history and the legacy of Ceaușescu’s dictatorship are one of the main focuses of his photography. His project Mobile Churches was shortlisted for the Dummy Book Award at the Rencontres d’Arles and was exhibited at Unseen, Amsterdam and at the MakeCity Festival, Berlin.
He has also exhibited at The Lumiere Brothers Centre for Photography, Moscow; Guardini Foundation, Berlin; Atelier 35, Bucharest and The Berlin Art Book Fair, Berlin.
His work is held in the Hellenic Centre for Photography, Athens; Archive of Les Rencontres de la Photographie; Book and Media Art Collection of Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.
