Clare West is an artist and facilitator who works across photography, moving image, sound and installation. Influenced by her background in dance, her work is often generated by using a body centred approach. She uses her practice to explore a range of interests which include personal and collective memory, gender stereotypes and most recently the impact of modern life and technology on human connection and relationships.
In 2021 she was an associate artist with The New Midland Group development programme. She has an MA in Film & Photography from the University of Derby (2021) and is a recipient of the Arts Council DYCP grant in 2022/23.
