Uruguayan photographer, graduated from the Image and Multimedia Technology Center of Politechnic University of Cataluña – BarcelonaTech. He is currently working as artistic director of SAN JOSÉ FOTO festival, promoting the Photobook Club Montevideo and as editor of El Ministerio Ediciones publishing house. He has been selected in festivals as Noorderlicht photofestival (NL), Athens photofestival (GR), IN/OUT photofestival (RO), Verzasca Foto (CH), Aleppo photofestival (SR), Backlight photofestival (FIN), Festival Internazionale di Roma (IT), Paraty em Foco, Valongo and Canela foto (BR), Fotograma and San José Foto (UY), Nexofoto, Santander Photo and Emulsión Sur (ES), Addis Foto Fest (ET), Fotofest (BO), Kaunas Photo (LI) and Photonic Moments (SL). He has been included in exhibitions at Aperture Foundation (New York), Fundación Pablo Atchugarry (Punta el Este), FOLA and Casa Florida (Buenos Aires), Contemporary Art Space (Montevideo), Mattatoio and MACRO Museum (Rome). Shine Heroes (2018) is his fourth published photobook after Fiestas del Uruguay (2009), Hello Montevideo (2011) and The Treasure Island (2014). He has received several awards, grants and scholarships, recently honoured with the Latin American Photobook award by CDF of Montevideo 2013, the IILA Fotografía award in Rome 2016 and FELIFA International photobook award 2018. Nominee for Prix PICTET 2019.
