Hannah Hughes (b. 1975) lives and works in London. She graduated from the University of Brighton in 1997 and has since exhibited internationally. Recent group exhibitions include Where One Form Began Another Ended, The Bakery Gallery, Vancouver, BC; These Fingers Read Sideways, Fettes College, Edinburgh; The Momentum, curated by Saturation Point, Angus Hughes Gallery, London; A Romance of Many Dimensions, Sid Motion Gallery, London; and Concealer at Peckham 24 Festival, London, curated by Tom Lovelace. Her work is included in an experimental Risograph publication Material Immaterial curated by Rodrigo Orrantia which was presented at Cosmos-Arles Books, Les Rencontres d’Arles and OffPrint Paris in 2018.
Her ongoing Flatland Series of collages reconfigure fragments of found printed source material to create speculative new forms, situated between reproduced images and the physical world. Her work has featured in the FT Weekend Magazine, AnOther.com, and British Journal of Photography.
