Heather Agyepong graduated from Goldsmiths College, University of London with a MA in Photography and Urban Cultures, passing with Distinction and where she was recipient of the Kirsty McColl Full Scholarship.
Agyepong is with the James Hyman Gallery, London and her work is held in a number of photography collections including Autograph AP; The Hyman Collection; New Orleans Museum of Art and the Mead Art Museum.
In 2018 Agyepong was selected as one of the Talawa’s MAKE: Sustain Artists and in 2020 was awarded a Firecracker Photographic Grant. Her work has been exhibited widely including at the Brighton Photo Biennial; the Nubuke Foundation, Accra; Tate Exchange, London, and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
As a performer Agyepong was awarded the Barbican Lab Residency and the Jerwood Arts Research and Development Award for The Body Remembers. She also appeared in the Chisenhale Gallery commission The Oracle by Paul Maheke.
