Huang Xueyi, also known as Snow, a digital media artist hailing from Zhuhai, China, has her artistic path deeply nourished by a diverse educational background and rich experiences.
During her undergraduate years, Snow studied assiduously in the Digital Exhibition major at the China Academy of Art. Immersed in the integration of art and exhibition, she laid a solid artistic foundation for herself. Subsequently, she pursued a master’s degree in Computer Arts at Goldsmiths, University of London, further expanding her horizons and delving deep into the convergence of digital art and cutting – edge technologies.
While studying in the UK, Snow created the AI film “No.27 Tong Poo Road”, skillfully reconstructing family memories and clan history with the aid of artificial intelligence. In the real – time motion – capture performance work “Mirror Psychedelic”, she collaborated with artists from different cultural backgrounds. By applying motion – capture technology, she transformed controversial topics such as live – streaming into fantastically gorgeous digital images. This experience not only deepened her understanding of diverse cultures but also taught her the knack of drawing creative inspiration from the little details of life.
With her extraordinary talent, Snow stood out among many artists and won the award in the China AIGC Time – Space Museum Competition. Her works extensively cover cutting – edge art fields such as creative coding, virtual production, artificial intelligence, and motion capture. Exhibited in many places including the West Bund Art Museum in Shanghai, the Ming Contemporary Art Museum, NAE in Nottingham, UK, and ASpace in New York, USA, her works have received widespread acclaim. In addition, her work experience in creative technology at the headquarters of Rolls – Royce in the UK has enabled her to perfectly blend the precision of industrial design with the flexibility of art, endowing her works with a unique charm.
