Jonny studied at Chelsea College of Art and Royal College of Art, London and teaches at the London College of Communication.
Briggs has been awarded a number of prizes including Conran Award for Fine Art; a Lumi Honorary Art Award; Saatchi New Sensations Winner; Jerwood Photography Award and a NESTA Creative Sparks Award.
He has had solo exhibitions at Photoforum Pasquart Photography Museum, Switzerland; MC2 Gallery in Milan; Marie-Laure Fleisch, Rome; Julie Meneret, New York City; Simon Oldfield Gallery, London; FaMa Gallery, Verona and White Project in Paris 2012.
His work has been included in group shows include at the Saatchi Gallery; 176 Zabludowicz Collection; Jerwood Space; Photographers’ Gallery; L’Atelier Néerlandais, Paris; Centre Photographique, Normandy; The Marta Herford Museum, Germany; Fondazione Fotografia Modena and Hauser & Wirth Somerset.
Recent residencies include Chisenhale Art Place and Archisle, Jersey.
