Kensuke Koike is a Japanese visual artist, who began his art studies in Venice, Italy, first attending the Academy of Fine Arts and then the IUAV University of Venice.
It’s difficult to place his art in any specific category, as he incorporates many ways of expression: painting, sculpture, collage; installations and video art. As Koike says, “Is up to ideas to choose the way they’ll show themselves”.
Koike has exhibited widely including more recently at the Postmasters Gallery, New York; Ciocca Contemporary Art, Milan; Jarach Gallery, Venice; IMA, Tokyo; Yancey Richardson Galery, New York; Design Museum, London; Asama International Photo Festival, Japan and Guangdong Museum of Art, China.
He has been the artist in residence at SuperOtium, Naples and the Kala Institute, Berkely.
