Nida Mehboob is a photographer & filmmaker based in Lahore, Pakistan. She graduated as a pharmacist but left the field to pursue photography.
She participated in the Angkor Photo Festival workshops in 2017, and the Pathshala South Asian Media Institute International Programme 2018-19. She was a Magnum Foundation Social Justice Fellow in 2019, and a Berlinale Talent in 2020. Her short films have screened at international film festivals including Locarno Open Doors 2018.
Her work engages with themes of social injustice, spanning religious persecution and gender discrimination in Pakistan.
