Italian artist Pietro Lo Casto graduated from the international programme of Photography at Pathshala South Asia Media Institute and is currently based in Bangkok where he is an Affiliated Researcher at the Centre for Ethnic Studies and Development of the University of Chiang Mai.
Lo Casto’s interest in photography originates from a personal experience of spiritual awakening and his practice revolves around topics of inner exploration, spirituality and the relationship between man and nature.
In 2020 his project Everything is Connected won the Slideluck Editorial Award and he exhibited at the Angkor Photo Festival; Singapore International Photography Festival, Cortona on the Move and in Kiev, Kathmandu and Athens.
He is currently an Affiliated Researcher at the Center for Ethnic Studies and Development of theUniversity of Chiang Mai, Thailand.
