Tianxi Wang born and raised in China, travelled to America to study at the Rochester Institute of Technology and returned to live and work in China where he established a small artist community in Tianjin, The Miscellaneous LAB.
Wang is influenced by a wide range of artists such as Yamamato Masao, Masahisa Fukase, Gregory Halpern and Todd Hido and is interested in imagery and metaphors found in ordinary space.
His solo exhibitions include Listen To The Rivers and Understanding China at the Atwood Gallery, Minnesota, United States and his work has been included in a number of group shows including at the Voies Award Open show, Arles, France; The RPS International Print Exhibition, UK; Belfast International Photography Festival and the Retina Scottish International Photography Festival.
