We are delighted to announce our series of exhibitions which will open in Derby this spring.
In Derby’s art centre QUAD, we welcome curator Azu Nwagbogu’s exciting exhibition The Cultural Evolution – Identity, Performance and Fashion – drawn from artists based in or from the African continent, exploring the new narratives of identity and self expression.
Also at QUAD, in the Extra Gallery Spaces is the culmination of the FORMAT’s Collective in Residence by Disruption, who will presents a multi-disciplinary exhibition AMP Voices.
In QUAD’s Resource Centre you will discover the curious story of Prince Emmanual Adewale Oyenuga through the exhibition – Unpacking the Suitcase. Elsewhere in Derby, the East Meets West workshop programme of 22 artists will present their group exhibition and offer public talks and interventions.
This is a wonderful opportunity to see work back in the real world, so if you are coming to Derby this spring and early summer make sure to visit the shows.
In partnership with New Art City and FOTEA we also offer an exciting immersive exhibition Kipya Ki? which brings together the curatorial and photographic talent of the UK and East Africa.
