Bethany Kane is Programme Coordinator of FORMAT International Photography Festival, based in Derby.
As an independent curator and founder of Lost Generation Projects, Kane has worked with over 50 international photographers and her exhibition projects have been supported by University of Derby; Birmingham City University; Bene Culture; Art House Birmingham; Vice Magazine UK and Old Blue Last. More recently Kane has received funding from Multistory and Arts Council England to create Lost Generation IIII for the BLAST! Festival 2019.
Kane has self-published photo books including Hidden Hunger, An Archive of My Father’s Youth: 80’s and 90’s Football Culture and the Lost Generation series.
As a photographer she has exhibited internationally including in the UK Young Artists programme in Milan. Kane has had solo exhibitions at the Midlands Art Centre; Parkside Gallery Birmingham and Coventry Centre of Contemporary Arts.
