Georgia Gardner is a Scottish artist and researcher based in Edinburgh. Drawing from health humanities, visual culture, psychotherapy, and feminist social theory, Georgia’s interdisciplinary methodology naturally informs her art. Through video, music composition, and movement, she finds language for recovery, attunement, and rebellion.
Embodied, attentive, and human, Georgia’s practice is a form founded in care. She holds the belief that art can contribute to our felt safety, holding space, bearing witness, and offering relation.
Georgia’s work has been recognised by numerous Scottish institutions and exhibited in the UK and beyond. She was awarded an Edinburgh Futures Institute Student Research award in 2021; Visual Arts Scotland Graduate Showcase Award 2021; and Royal Scottish Academy’s New Contemporaries for 2023.
