Jan Stradtmann studied for his MA Photographic Studies at the University of Westminster London having previously attended the Visual Communication Design course at the University of Applied Sciences, Potsdam.
His work has featured in solo exhibitions in Lyon, Rome and Darmstadt and he has been in a number of group shows including at the Museums Quartier Vienna, Austria; Noorderlicht International Photofestival, Groningen, NL; AFF Gallery, Berlin; Gallery of the Austrian Cultural Forum, Berlin; Galerie Ursula Walter, Dresden; Institute of International Visual Arts, London; The Photographers Gallery, London and F/Stop, 3rd International Photography Festival, Leipzig.
In 2015 he was awarded the Serre Salentine Residency, Matino and was Artist-in-Residence at quartier21, Vienna in 2010.
Stradtmann was the UK winner of Flash Forward, Magenta Foundation, Toronto, Canada.
