Kelly + Jones is an ongoing collaboration between Dr Rhiannon Jones (UK) and Dr Traci Kelly (DE/UK).
They first collaborated in 2014 and have since then worked together to develop a substantial body of work that spans the mediums of performance, sculpture, photography and text. The artists pay attention to aspects of inter-related sites that cohere around the site of writing.
These include the institutional architecture and drives of education, the chalk landscape which has been laid down by pre-historic marine bodies, their own corporeal bodies and the exhibiting contexts for the research, which are far from neutral and carry their own rich territory.
Their essay For We Are Made of Lines is published in the Unlikely Journal for Creative Arts, AU and their publication Un/Writing the Landscape, Re/Figuring the Body published by PABlish, Norway will be available January 2021.
