Feature Shoot 4: Annual Awards

The Feature Shoot Emerging Photography Awards is an international photography call for up-and-coming image makers of all ages and backgrounds working across all genres. Selected photographers are provided with the resources they need to get their career off to a strong start including awards and three different international group exhibitions including FORMAT19 UK, United Photo Industries gallery Brooklyn, USA and Head On Photo Festival in Sydney, Australia.

Founded in 2008 by Alison Zavos Editor-in-Chief based in Sydney Australia, Feature Shoot showcases the work of international emerging and established photographers with contributing writers from all over the world and a wide range of interests, the platform features contemporary work from all genres of photography.

Taking part in the exhibition at FORMAT19 are Camillo Pasquarelli (Italy), with his project The Valley of Shadows, an investigation into the disputed territory of Kashmir, one of the world’s most militarized zone; Sharbendu De (India) who documents the indigenous Lisu tribe on the India-Myanmar border in his series Imagined Homeland; Lucia Sekerková (Slovakia) and her Wallachian witches of Romania in Vrăjitoare ; Synchrodogs Tania Shcheglova  & Roman Noven (Ukraine) whose collaboration Slightly Altered looks at the interdependency of humans and nature and Dylan Hausthor (USA) with his poetic project Past the Pond, Setting Fires that takes the thin and mysterious line that separates the idea of truth from fiction, reality from mythology.
